Emmanuel Igwe, BS, MA, Ed.S, PhD

Emmanuel Igwe is a Certified Christian therapist. He holds a BS degree from Cambridge State University, a master’s degree in counseling Psychology from Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia, an Educational Specialist degree from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and a PhD in Health Psychology and Behavior Medicine from North Central University in Prescott, Arizona. He also holds a post-graduate certificate in Disaster Medicine & Management from Philadelphia University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a certified Chaplain and member of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education. Emmanuel has served as associate pastor with Cornerstone Church in Greenville, South Carolina, senior pastor of the Christian Outreach also in Greenville, South Carolina. He has traveled to several parts of the world teaching in international conferences and seminars. His passion is to develop, train, and equip leaders for global impact. He is the founder and director of Hope Ministry Network, a 501 (C) 3 organization and Hope Africa Mission Projects. Emmanuel is currently the Director of The Hope Center. The Hope Center is a domestic violence prevention program serving Greenville, Spartanburg, Cherokee and Pickens counties. He is the author of “You are more than you think”, and “Making Every Moment Count”. He has Served as the NIDOA-BOD Treasurer and a member of the South Carolina international task force for the Greenville Forward Vison 2020. Emmanuel is a certified Human Rights Consultant (USIDHR). He is married to Nnenna Igwe (MD), an associate professor of anatomy and physiology at Anderson University and a Global Health Specialist. They have three children, Emmanuel Jr., David, and Jesse.

Dr. Nnenna C. Igwe MBBS. MPH. RDMS.

Dr. Nnenna Chidinma Igwe is the director of the cadaver lab, anatomist and associate professor of Anatomy and Physiology at Anderson University (AU), SC. She graduated from the Abia State University, Nigeria, with an MBBS in Medicine and Surgery in 2000 and began practicing as a general physician. Her emphasis was in internal and preventive medicine until she relocated to the United States in 2002. While in the United States, she has earned additional degrees in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (2009) from Greenville Technical College, SC; a master’s in public health degree (2018) from George Washington University, Washington DC, and a certificate in clinical anatomy education (2022) from the Hardin-Simmons University, Abilene, Texas. Prior to joining Anderson University, she held other jobs, which include medical officer I at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital (2000-2001), a medical officer II at the Abia State Government House Clinic (2001-2002). Upon relocation to the United States, she became the director of Global Missions at Hope Ministry Inc., Greenville, SC (2002-2010). Her career in academia began at Greenville Technical College (2007-2018) where she left as an Associate Professor of Anatomy and Physiology.

Dr. Igwe has conducted research that ranges from anatomical effects of alcoholism on the human brain, the pulmonary complications of diabetes mellitus and variations in human lung morphology, among many others.

Dr. Igwe’s motivation in life is her passion for God and compassion for people. She is happiest when she makes others happy. She lives in Greer, SC with her husband of over 21 years, Dr. Emmanuel Igwe. They have three adult children, Emmanuel Jnr., David and Jesse. She enjoys reading, designing clothes, collecting perfumes and interior decoration.
